Work behavior

Work behavior refers to the observable actions, reactions, and conduct of employees within an organizational context. It encompasses all the activities and responses exhibited by individuals while performing their job duties. Work behavior can include both positive and negative actions and is influenced by various factors such as individual characteristics, job satisfaction, company culture, and external stimuli.

Example
Positive work behavior may manifest as punctuality, teamwork, meeting deadlines, and providing excellent customer service. For instance, an employee consistently arriving on time for meetings, actively collaborating with colleagues, completing tasks ahead of schedule, and ensuring customer needs are met exemplifies positive work behavior.

Conversely, negative work behavior can involve absenteeism, conflicts with coworkers, procrastination, or insubordination. An example would be an employee frequently missing work without notice, engaging in arguments with colleagues, delaying project progress, or refusing to follow company policies, all of which reflect negative work behavior.
