Performance target

A performance target is a specific and measurable goal set for an individual or a team to achieve within a given timeframe. This is a benchmark against which actual performance is assessed and evaluated. Performance targets are established to drive performance improvement, align efforts with organizational goals, and provide a clear direction for employees to focus their efforts.

Example
In a sales department, a performance target could be set for the sales team to increase their monthly revenue by 10% compared to the previous month. This target provides a measurable objective for the team members to work towards and allows the organization to track their progress and success.
