A performance review also known as a performance appraisal or evaluation, is a systematic process in human resources where an employer assesses an employee's job performance, accomplishments, and development over a specified period. It is a crucial tool for providing feedback, setting goals, and making decisions regarding promotions, raises, or further training.

In a performance review, a manager might evaluate an employee's punctuality, productivity, teamwork, and adherence to company policies, discussing areas of strength and areas needing improvement. They may also collaboratively establish performance goals for the upcoming year and outline steps for skill enhancement.
