General agents

General agents are individuals or entities authorized to act on behalf of another person or organization in various matters. They have the authority to make decisions and take actions that bind the principal (the person or entity they represent) within the scope of their agreed-upon responsibilities.

Example

Real estate agents are considered general agents as they have the authority to negotiate and enter into contracts on behalf of property owners or buyers. They represent their client's interests and facilitate the buying, selling, or leasing.
