Employee morale is often used to refer to an employee's psychological, emotional, and job satisfaction. When employee morale is good, they can work more efficiently, contribute positively to the company, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Example
A dog and cat food company decided to increase employee care by increasing wages for factory workers. They also give employees free pet food and host BBQ parties on the weekends. These actions made employees feel appreciated and made an important contribution to the company, thereby increasing employee motivation and satisfaction with their jobs. Then, we say that employee morale at that company improves.
