Cross-functional training refers to a development approach in which employees receive training and acquire skills and knowledge outside of their primary job function or department. It involves providing employees with opportunities to learn and perform tasks or responsibilities that are typically performed by individuals in other functional areas of the organization. The purpose of cross-functional training is to enhance employees' versatility, broaden their skill sets, and promote collaboration and understanding across different departments or teams within an organization.
