HomeHR glossaryBase remuneration
Base remuneration
Base remuneration is the term used to refer to an employee's base salary before allowances, bonuses, and other dependencies are taken into account. This is the minimum salary that an employee will receive and is used to calculate other allowances such as insurance, 13th-month salary, bonus, and more.

Example
A company pays for an employee position with a basic salary of 10 million VND/month, if that employee is entitled to allowances such as insurance, 13th-month salary, and bonus, then the employee's actual salary will receive will be higher than the base salary.
